    Re: Your boat name

In the Navy, Liberty is the term for permission to leave your ship or station after ships work is done.  Anyone who's ever been in the Navy or Marine Corps will recognize my favorite announcement on the 1MC:

Liberty call! liberty call! Liberty commences for sections 1 and 3. Liberty expires onboard at 0600! Now liberty call.

Since Kathie and I are both retired Navy we figured it was fitting since we try to spend all of our "off duty" time on our Liberty Call.

Ours is   II Impulsive.    Every time we buy a boat its a impulsive buy. Our 1st boat was impulsive. the 2nd one was II Impulsive. The 3rd one we stayed with II impulsive,  3 Impulsive did not sound good. 4 Impulsive was no good and 5 Impulsive was no good  My wife and me are both impulsive so II Impulsive is the best name for our boat.      Is it summer yet,,,,,,,,, at least nascar is on. Re: Your boat name

My previous boat was called "Miss Right".  I bought my current 250 CR after I became a married man.  (As a matter of fact I bought the cruiser so that my wife could have more creature comforts.)  Well I obviously needed a new name so I used this logic;  My love for PT Boats and this boat is the fifth boat that I have owned, thus PT-5.  Not too creative, but it works for me!

    Re: Your boat name

Well me and my wife were talkin and since our first one had a name, the second would not be around long and the third will, I thought up Liquid Plummer since I'm a plumber. She didnt like it, but gave her the idea and she came up with Took The Plunge! with the exclamation mark a plunger.  Well I guess it stuck like flies on poo! ours is called 'SWEET DEAL'. when we bought the boat it did not have  a name . when we were coming out of the marina to test drive it i noticed another boat with  the unique name with the first word being  SWEET.after buying the boat   we drove  back home (4 HOUR DRIVE) trying to remember the second word.
we stopped at a restaurant overlooking  a marina   in PARRY SOUND.during the meal and wine we tried in vain to remember . after a pause and casual chatting my wife said  HUN  ,WE DID A ' SWEET  DEAL'.....................AND VOILA!!!!!!!

    Re: Your boat name

What a great idea!   It has been fun to see the meaning behind people’s boat names.  For us, we have been looking / dreaming about owning a boat for several years now.  We just purchased the Crownline 240 LS.  I’m an elementary principal and my wife is a pediatric occupational therapist working in the school system.  We've always enjoyed good ‘teacher’ type movies.  We took the cliché saying from one of our favorite movies, Dead Poet’s Society.  The cliché is Carpe Diem, which you all know means “Seize the Day”.  We spun that off and named our boat “Seas the Day”.  We figured we’d better seas the day and buy this thing now and take every opportunity with our three kids, 8, 5, & 2 by getting them on the water and enjoying quality family time together.

"AMERICA'S MOST WANTED"     We live on the Ohio River at America, Illinois,  which is just north of the confluence with the Mississippi River. America was an early settlement established in the early 1800s and was the county seat of Alexander County beginning in 1818 when Illinois became a state.  We wanted to incorporate America into the boat name as well as the boat is our most wanted "boat". Didn't mean to give a history lesson but..........

Well my nickname is Buddha and Ann's is Annimal.  An animal being a pet, hence "Buddha's Pet"  Pretty simple but if you need to know why they call me Buddha, well?  LOL!!  You will have to meet me.  LMAO!!!!!

    Re: Your boat name

Our 206 LS is named "Latitudes". We're both Parrotheads and the name is a reference to one of Buffett's songs. It's also a state of mind for us when we're on the boat. We enjoy coving out with the kids and our friends, just "chillaxin'" on a summer afternoon!

One more day closer to Summer!!!

    Re: Your boat name

we named our boat "DONT PANIC!" but we havent yet found the right "friendly-lettered" font to have that put on the back of the boat.
