    Matt Hudak:

For those of you that don't recognize the name, this is "Boat boy/ cabin boy/ or Charlie Sheen" I just wanted to say thanks to all (Especially Carmine & Ann for letting me be their boat boy) for a great weekend. I had an awesome time!!! Although, I think I am about 2 inches shorter after the commute to and from the rally. I will definately be attending next years festivities. Next time I'll bring my boat.  Is there a minimum size reqirement?

    Matt,

No minimum size boat - Toby uses a 28" boogie board to ride to shore.

Re: 2007 Chespeake Bay Rally - Another great job

    Carmine Caruso:

First off, Ann & I ( and cabin boy: aka Charlie  Sheen) would like to thank all of the people who put together this rally- you did a great job, and to all the other crownies we would like to thank you for making us feel so welcome (and not turning our boat around in our slip :). We had a GREAT time. It made the 11 hour journey worth the trip. We can't stop talking about how great  everyone was  and what a wonderful bunch of people you fellow Crownies are. The poker run was fun and  we were glad we made it on time. The over night raft up was also pretty awesome. When we were getting ready to leave and everyone jumped on our boat  that was pretty damn Kool. I now know the REAL person capacity of the boat.....28 people...lol.

I took tons of pics and will post them as soon as I can edit them, and try and photo shop Cappy or me  into the group shop that we took turns taking.

We are already talking about next year and how we will make "better" plans for it...... arriving earlier and staying later and visiting Baltimore and Annapolis.

Now for the not so fun part......  we made it thru the C& D canal no problem, then the Delaware  was pretty ruff, we were slammed around  untill we hit Cape May...NOT FUN!!

We took the intrarcoastal from Cape May to Atlantic City, a peacefull ride but all the no wake zones took forever. from AC  we hit the Ocean, I think the waves were higher than when we left. we turned into the Little Egg  inlet and took the intra coastal all the way home . the last few hours without running lights...

                                                        Time left: about 11:00 am

                                                        Time  arrived home 9:45pm

    Total gas bill ...$1700

Total food and drink Bill $300

    total hotel bill  $90

spending time with you Chesapeake Crownies....Priceless!!!!

other than having a sore back, sore knees, blisters on my feet and cant walk, we would do it all again( you Chesapeake Crownies are all OK in our book) If any ( or all) ever want to take the ride by boat or trailer down  you are more than welcome to  stay with us and we will show you the Barnegat Bay  and area, and try and return the Hospitality you all showed us....thanks again   Ann and Carmine

ps. ...... Cabin boy was up until 2:00 am Sunday night cleaning the boat.

    Carmine,

You and Linda are amazing.  A bow rider that is larger than some countries aircraft carriers is still too small for me to run 11 hours.  I would need a week of traction and a meal of pain killers when I got home.

Next year, I hope your poker hand helps with the fuel bill.

Re: 2007 Chespeake Bay Rally - Another great job

JamieDee, as in the past two years, sincerely thanks everyone for putting together such a great rally.  They say it takes a village...  well, ours happens to float (most of the time for the Yutes).  And what a great village you guys ALL make.  We feel lucky to have found this group.  Safe boating to all and visit us in Baltimore anytime.  See you all on the Magothy in a couple weeks.

Re: 2007 Chespeake Bay Rally - Another great job

WOW!!!!!!!!!!  What a weekend on the water. I want to thank everyone involved in putting this rally together. The welcome BBQ was great. the Poker Run was a blast (even though my spot decided to go swimming when I hit that wake) Crying  The night at Tugs along with the entertainment afterwards. Provided by our friends Tony, Mark, Greg, and company partying and planning the boat moves with Porter all night.

    Cappy,

I will be needing Porter as I signed a deal with the Washington Ford Truck Club for him to appear at thier first meeting In Sept. I am working on some other appearances and will let know when we are signed up.

    Carmine,

I got your Pic with everyone What a Bowrider

    Ed & Jean,

Just remember next year we need to have atleast three newcomers to keep the rain away!

    Henry,

I hope you pratcie more with that water cannon. Maybe you'll be able to put out my cigar next year. Just remember no point blank range shots.

Thanks for smoothing out the road for us!!!

    Scott & Kathy,

It was good meeting you both, We'll have to do a better job next year with our meeting skills so we can actually crownvoy up together.

A special thanks to Stephanie for being the mother and keeping Porter and gang in line Friday Night & Saturday AMBig Smile

Linda and I will be starting a new thread soon informing everyone of the time and date of the Crownline 290 marathon anyone that would like to send donations ahead of time are welcome to do so. Porter will be the star celebrity appearing and will be there til the end.Big SmileBig Smile

All and All that was one of the best weekends on the water I've every had.

    Thanks again to everyone involved.

Re: 2007 Chespeake Bay Rally - Another great job

I can tell you what you wanna hear,( Mark, Tony, and Mark B, were all a sleep at 230am Fri Nite right after Tugs, and I don't know who spun around any boats, swam across from the t-head pushing Gregs boat to the other floating dock across the way, then swim back instead of getting on the dock and walking out the gate,(because they didn;t think about it) just to take Greg by boat to his boat in the morning, (because they didn't know the gate combination), and didn't get on our boat and feel a hand sharply grab a leg from our aft window, and hear someone yell OUCH! Bob are you awake, is Carol down there, ( No shes out in front of Tugs hooking) did not hear Tony say come up we need to talk, (then when I get up), I didnt hear Tony say, Bob you like a Ninja ready to kick my ???,  see Mark H jump from our boat 3ft across (instead of pulling the line to step off) and say I haven't been this fired up since I was this tall (knee height) before tearing down the dock chasing Tony looking like a vandal from a Batman movie with shirt pulled open because Tony remembered Two Yutes had it's keys left in the ignition and (wanted to take it to the gas dock), didn't hear Mark B's wife yell out at 415am your taking it to far...and I never had a shot with my buddies at Tugs, never saw 50 lights under Liberty Calls Big Bimini top, never saw Charlie Sheen, or Porter's photo hangin on to Blonde Ambition, or taking credit for the great weather(date was picked because of CR Truck could attend)  having someone still come as far as Les,(& actaully wanting to come back) "You guys are alright in spite of how we all talk about each other" (Classic quote from Carmine) seeing Charlie Sheen, keeping everyone laughing, and because Charlie gave 25 Nickle tours and was punished to sleep on top the aft pad instead of sleeping in the head), watching Cappy exhaust himself to win a 2 man dinghy, while I was filling up a dinghy with water in less than 10 mins just to jump ship and yell Man over board.)

or I can tell you the Truth....... this was the Best Rally yett because of ALL OF US that "United by a Common Passion"

Still Thanking Bill C. for helping Carol back on the boat after she slipped off (sober),whos says theres never a cop around when you need one.

And Now the truth..This was The Best Rally Yet!!!

Hope to see ya all at next years Rally

    Bobby D

I can tell you what you want to hear, or I can tell you the truth.

Re: 2007 Chespeake Bay Rally - Another great job

Tracy and I also had a great time - despite the rough seas during the poker run.  I guess she's a real boater now since she drove for 5 minutes on the river (at 3 mph) waiting to head to the raft-up.  Thanks to all you guys who plan this every year.  Tony and Mark - I still owe you so don't drive through Baltimore City anytime soon.  Bobby D. - I think Carol grabbed me inappropriately when I pulled her from a certain death but I don't mind.  I hope she's feeling better.  I can't wait to see all the pics but I bet there's one of Mark H. that doesn't make it to the website!
