    Re: Crowndezvous Suggestions

Ok maybe this is a stupid idea but here it goes.  I think it would be very helpful if more people posted pictures of themselves or family on their avatar's.  I just think it would really help with names and faces ahead of time.  Some of you already do it and I feel that when next June comes around I will be able to know who you are.  I'm not good with names when I am meeting a couple hundred people all at once but with looking at pictures and names all winter it would really help.

I know some may not want to because it's the internet thing but hopefully more will.

Oops, perhaps I have gender issues? Tongue Tied

As for the Pic, we're on that boat pic... best way to recognize us is the Pirate Flag and the 3 hood ornaments.

Rodney' suggestion of later dinners is right on!   We like attending the dinners but when faced with the choice of getting off the water to do it, it's a struggle.  7:30-8:00 is much better than earlier.

    Re: Crowndezvous Suggestions

Great idea for the "dinner wagon" pontoon... at least one of the evenings so people can stay at the tie-up a little longer.  We were last boat out of the cove twice at Summer Splash, and would have stayed longer if we weren't getting hungry!

I also definitely like the cruise to dinner / back at night idea, maybe on Sunday night, or early in the week.  Worman house at Big Cedar is great if anyone is interested in a nice dinner one evening - would require reservations well in advance if a big group wants to go together...

The themed boat poker run at Summer Splash was awsome (after we finally found our first stop).

Off the wall thought - anybody know someone at Table Rock with a big houseboat and a band?  There is a guy at our local lake that sets up a 2-man band on the top deck complete with Peavey amps, etc.  I don't know if he does it professionally or not, but he is real good - mostly classic rock, and it makes for a great atmosphere in the cove...

I reallly like the live talent suggestion.  Not sure how that would work financially since it could get real expensive, but the concept definitely sounds cool.

    Re: Crowndezvous Suggestions

We had two live bands at Norris.  One was paid for with rally funds and the other was sponsored by Deerfield Resort so it is definately doable.  Just have to work it into the budget.

Todd, this is what I was told when I asked the same question awhile back.........

At this time we honestly can not tell you when the site will be up. When it is, we will post it here on the Forum. We are not in a big rush because registration will not begin until at least February and possibly March. In the meantime look here for any news about the Crowndezvous.

The site is up but just with small tidbits of info.  The full content site probably won't be up for a while.

Well, maybe it's not working.  I just tried and it doesn't seem to be up but it was a few weeks ago.

    Re: Crowndezvous Suggestions

With the thought of the late night cruise, we could decorate our boats with summer time decorations and lights. Imagine 20+ boats decorated with lights all tied up. Everyone would see us and enough light for people to see everyone and still hang out.
