Dave sorry to hear that, and sorry I didn't see this post earlier. Very tragic and I feel for you and your community. We are never ready to lose a loved one or a freind, but those freak accidents are even harder to take. You all take care down there.

    Hey Dave Mc.

Sorry to hear about the accident in your community.  That was sad to read.

Has anyone seen Table Rock lately? Is it very low right now? I know it will be up and warm by Crwondezvous time, I am just curious where it stands now?

Gary....here is an update for you on Table Rock.  PLENTY OF WATER AT THE LAKE!  The lake rose about 6 feet in a 24 hour period and is still rising!

    Re: 2008 crowndezvous

I just checked again and the lake has risen 4 more feet over the past couple of hours.  It is almost 927.  The level that the Corp. tries to maintain is 915.  Our cabin sits at about 938 or 939.

    Re: 2008 crowndezvous

Back 3 weeks ago when I asked that question I was surprised to hear it was at 915. Now, after all the rain we have had LightningI am not at all surprised at 927 Storm. Let's make some electricity! Indifferent

Oh, by the way Kevin. Someone thought they saw your cabin floating past this morning, headed toward the dam! Huh?

    Re: 2008 crowndezvous

That floating cabin was not an accident Gary.  In lieu of a new air-conditioner last year we put on an outboard motor.  When the cabin is at rest we just use the prop to keep the cabin cool.  I was just tooling around checking things out.  Stick out tongue

Sounds like lots more water to boat in and explore.  Stick out tongue    Is there a bunch of limbs & trash migrating toward the dam?

I can confirm.  The bow rise is horrible, but that little cabin give one heck of a tube ride!!  Try flipping burgers on the grill when KW is pulling figure-eights!!!

    Re: 2008 crowndezvous

    Hello all!

We will be taking the cabin out for another spin this weekend!  The lake is forecast to crest on Saturday around 933'.  This is 4ft higher than the crest 3 weeks ago.  We are looking forward to some great sight seein'!  Yeehaw!

Chris...we swiped some pieces of steel roof from the house across the street and will be using them for trim tabs.  That should take care of the bow rise issue!  We use some rocks and rope to adjust the tabs.Stick out tongue

    Re: 2008 crowndezvous

Man, that is horrible timing.  Never mind the 10 hour drive, I would love to tag along.  Regretfully, I just dropped off our life jackets to be dry cleaned and ironed.  Heavy on the starch!!  So we are out of commission for the week...  :-)

Before you know it, you will be trolling from your patio...  in Kansas City!!

Just make absolutely certain Kevin that you do not forget to put in the plug! Surprise I would hate to see you sink your cabin the first time out this year. Tongue Tied
