Yep, here in half-frozen Nebraska, and ready for the boat show. We'll be down on Saturday afternoon; it's a yearly tradition: a trip to the Omaha boat show and then the world's best hot wings afterwards at The Longhorn Bar in Ft. Calhoun.

Hey, if Crownline swag will be available at the Valley display, you know I'll be there. (Of course, I'll be there one way or the other.)

Since someone brought up boating on the Missouri, I'll throw in my two cents: Blair is right on the river, so it's where we do almost all our boating. But even though I've been boating on the Mo for years, I still have a healthy respect for the river because you can get yourself into trouble if you're not careful. Respect the river, and you'll have a blast.

That said, I think we'll be making a trip to Lewis & Clark Lake this summer...

Chris... Glad to see someone finally answer the call Big Smile I know there's got to be others out there as well. If you have a idea as to what time you'll be there we could arrange to meet. If so answer on the other post and maybe we'll get to meet with the others that might want to get together.

As far as boating on the Mo I can only agree, that no matter the water (saftey is always a priority) but esspecially when the waters moving and with changing conditions you've got to give it even more respect and be alert.

I was just up to Ft. Randle Dam this weekend checking things out and we're not to far away from ice out. If your going up that way this summer maybe we'll see you on the water, its sure a beautiful area of the mighty Mo to boat.

    Hope to see you Sat.

Dan,  Where do you stay when you go up to Fort Randall?   We used to go to Lewis and Clark quite and bit and I am always looking for new experiences.   Do you camp or stay somewhere?   We will probably be at the boat show but don't know what time.

I also totally agree with the respect for the river.  The Mo is a fast running river and I have towed and rescued several stranded vessels in just the five years we have been going.  Would not want to be out of power and adrift.

Bryon, we stay in Pickstown, S.D. at the camp grounds next to the dam or we have overnited at one of the many beach's / anchored in one of the coves. Its a great time and has a beautiful back drop with all the scenery.

Hope we can meet at the show, we'll be there Sat. afternoon.
