The Infinity 602M's are an even better choice in my opinion.  They are rated to handle 75 watts RMS compared to 45 watts on the Sony 1620's.

 And if you are going to add an amp in the future might as well get a speaker that can handle some nice power.

I replaced all 6 of my Sony's with the Infinity's and I'm very happy with the results.  I'm pushing 75 watts to each of them and they sound great.

I think it has been discussed on here before, but you should have cutouts under your rear bench already in the boat.....  they are just carpeted over....  i know i have the spots on my 202 but with the four 1620s, 2 tower speakers, and the sub, i didnt feel i needed 2 more....

 Yah I checked my boat this morning and saw where the cutouts are.  I think that's great they include that in the boat.  So I'm looking now at speakers, I'm being told that the Infinity's are better than the Sony 1620's so I'm looking into those.

I'm with Ryan: Infinity makes a great speaker. I've got four 602Ms (and a Perfect 10 sub) on my boat, and they sound fantastic.

Question to anyone:

 Has anyone purchased electronice off ebay?  I've found the Infinity 602m for a killer price, they state new in the box.  I also found a Pioneer amp for a good deal as well, but of course I'm trying to exercise caution.

Garth, go with the rating of the seller.  95% and higher rating with lots of transactions is all I'll deal with.  I have bought a few things from guys just starting out when they were 100%.  Haven't been burned yet.  You can get some killer deals though!

I agree, Ebay sellers with alot of transactions and a high seller rating are usually good to go.  I've only been burned a couple of times out of hundreds of transactions.

 But if you don't want to do Ebay check out www.techronics.com

 I got about $1000 worth of stuff from them a couple of months ago.  Shipping was quick and everything was as expected.

 I took your advise and ordered 4 of the Infinity 602's and a Pioneer 4 channel amp.  Should hopefully have them in sometime next week.  Then we'll throw them in.
