We were planning to be at Fairless next weekend...I was sorta looking forward to try to get into the inlet, but we now have to go to my parents for an Anniversary - they were married in MAY darn it!

We are already making plans for the long W......, gotta hate that!

Re: Who would have thunk....Crownline Owner's Forum is silent in prime boating season!

Porter's done some traveling this summer- a trip to Tn, a couple of trips to CT and Boston.  Unfortunately they were all over land.  Not doing a lot of cruising this season, though.  But we've been out for at least one day just about every weekend this season (when we we're in town).

Mostly we've been running down to Eagle Cove for the day.  We had a couple of o'nights with Ed and Linda, and we've had a couple of 2 or 3 boat raftups with Frank and Jay.  Since Crown Jewel is in drydock waiting for a new outdrive, Ed and Linda joined us for great day last weekend.  The weather was perfect and the water was great.  Ed's drive was supposed to be in sometime last week so I'd think the Jewel will be back in business soon.

So all in all I guess we've been getting our hours in.  Labor day's coming up in a few weeks so maybe we can get something setup for that weekend.  Maybe we could do a really long weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday).  There's no speed limits at eagle cove on weekdays and we'd certainly be up for bringing the ski's and tubes and wasting some gas if we do the weekend on the Mag.

Otherwise, unless it's raining, we'll be planning to be in our anchorage at the cove at least one day every weekend until the "W".

This past weekend was 1 outta just 3 weekends that we were not on the water since the 3rd weekend in April; we did a family trip to LBI, NJ. We've been putting some hours on ours Big Smile. We're towing out to Raystown Lake Friday morning for a 4 day weekend and plan on being back on the Sass or Bohemia the following weekend.

Boy, I haven't been to Raystown in a couple of years. We really like it up there. but it is a long tow for us, bout 3hrs one way. that might be an option for us, as we have a long weekend this comming weekend. But it is only a 1 1/2 hr tow to the bay, that's a 1/4 of the gas.

    Mike,

This will be our 1st visit to Raystown. We're meeting several others out there for an annual event (from the BoatingABC.com website actually). One guy who slips his boat at the resort marina sorta spear heads the get-together. You should come out (we can bump up the Crownline presence Yes). It's short notice, but I'm sure you could get a room at the Comfort Inn in Huntington and launch up there by the dam.

Let me know either way (via p/m, post or e-mail). I'm meeting a guy from Lancaster (not Mark B Big Smile  ) Friday morning around 9:00 at a turnpike rest stop near Harrisburg and convoying out.

The Potomac River Aquapalooza at Tim's II was quite the festival!!Cool  Mark Huseman and Jenny stopped by our new 08 250CR and referred us back to this site which I've been away from since joining early this year so I'm sorry I missed so much info.  We have been out almost every weekend since late April and doing overnighters when possible.

We look forward to the next opportunity to meet more Crownies, or boaters of any make/model out about on the Potomac or at an organized rally.

    Until then, Hotty Toddy!!

    Greg

Sounds like fun, I'll have to talk to the wife about it. We usually stay on the boat, just find a nice cove and drop the hook.

We usually launch at James Creek, which is about half way up the lake from the turnpike. You'll really like there, clear deep water, and the lake runs for about 25 miles. Oh ya, pay attention to where you're going, because you can get lost.

If we don't see you up there, have a great time anyway.

    Mike

Hey everyone I would like to introduce Peter to the forum.  Had a real nice time talking to them this past weekend even though Jenny and I both were well past the point where we should have been talking to everyone.  Peter and his wife have a BEAUTIFUL 250 and we'll have to catch up again before the season is over.

I'm serious about the rally next everyone.  Looks like it might be the Mark and Mark rally 2009!  We had a great time at the event this weekend and I came away some great ideas on what we could work into our get together next year.

Peter again great meeting you this weekend!  Stick around and check in often.  You'll find we've got a great bunch of people on this site!

    Mark Buckwalter:

We have had the boat out a total of 4 times this year- the way I figure it, that amounts to about $4000 a day to boat. (well worth it)

Hey Mark I'll work out a great deal for you on a 250 if you wanna trade boats?!?!?!?

Steph and I agreed to keep it with the broker until spring, if it's not sold by then it's not ment to be. I suspect we will be at Duffys again next year with the 320. (unless I find a sedan I can't resist)

I tell ya, It'll be hard to part with her, but I'd be willing to do an even trade for the 320; have your broker contact mine Wink

    I think we're getting close...

No bunk beds, however she does offer a full width front bench berth, a full width mid bench berth and an aft berth (aka trunk berth) that will sleep two. Also, recently upgraded two flip down dash mount monitors/DVD/Sirius units including two head rest monitors for your mid bench berth passengers' viewing pleasure. Unfortunately, the only downside (and hopefully not a deal breaker) is that it's a gasser. Let me know.
