    Re: South Carolina Crownline owners

We are considering a transfer to SC. My current employment is fantastic but with the high mortgage prices out here in the Pacific NW and my wife's family (Aunt/Uncle living) near Boiling Springs SC we just might consider it. Same employer just a transfer of employment - moving across country to a new to us area. We used to live in an HOA out here in the NW and it covered (50.00 per month) some folks mow'in our lawn (2 minutes for that) and our sidewalks - that was it; (That is in the HOA you own the sidewalks not the road - and walkways is pretty darn pricey to fix). Traffic is a 45 minute commute one way into Portland at rushhours times. Our SC Uncle says that house prices for what we're into in the NW could get us in to a fabulous place with HOA and those are great apparently as they include a "clubhouse & pool"? My wife's a stay at home mom so it depends on one income (mine) to pay mortgage, suv loan, utilities which leaves no funds for kids college education(s) or good time's like family outings.

My real question is where do folks boat in SC within the boiling springs area? We currently don't even use our 202 as gas prices remind me of Canada (160.00 fill) and it takes around 1.5 hours drive to get to a decent lake then only to find it's swamped. Before the Pacific NW I lived in BC Canada and the lakes there are awesome. More boat owners than cell phones is a common cleche'. In the Portland area...we could take our boat into the Columbia river (only a 5 minute trip) but it's pretty scummy and it's a river. This is a longer term move as we are pretty established out here and moving out east would require me to learn to speak Y'all's language!

PS My Uncle says Lake Keowee...?

    Thanks guys - no replys!

Actually I found out that Lake Keowee looks pretty awesome as it has 300 miles of shoreline to enjoy. Looks great. Are there any folks out there that work for Freightliner custom chassis corp (FCCC) and do you boat at that lake? My Unlce is retired military and doesn't boat but lieks to camp.

What's up fellow South Cacalacians! I just purchased my first Crowline boat the other day. It is a 1994 225 BR with a 5.7L. What a beautiful boat, and she is in great shape too. I believe I practically stole it for $5500!! Unfortunately, she is already in the shop. The exhaust manifold risers are clogged, so it was starting to cook the rubber sleeves. Anyways, if anyone wants to meet up on the water around the area, shoot me an email. I can't wait to get back in the water!! Party!!!
