Re: It's time to plan...The SPRING FLING !

Sunday night dinner trip sounds cool.  We're staying through Sunday and leaving Monday morning.

Also, we're coming down Thurs to get some extra time on the water.  Anyone planning to spend Friday on the water?

Gosh...May seems like a loooong ways away!!!

Glad to hear you are staying over through Monday Keith. As for Friday - people will start arriving Friday mid day or earlier and hit the water prior to the pizza party at Skyline. Many time we end up rafted up at the Ha Ha Tonka cove. Look forward to meeting you at the Fling!

It doesn't need watching Gary. It just makes money on its own.

The office runs itself - I can do my job with a cell phone on the boat floatin at the lake allot better than sitting in the office. Now if I could only get my boss to agree with that theory I would be set Big Smile

Re: It's time to plan...The SPRING FLING !

I've been watching this thread for some kind of registration "send-in" notice and just realized there is another post titled "Registration Time for Spring Fling IX".  It was started almost a month ago and the registration deadline is May 10th.  (maybe I'm the only one who didn't see it)

Registration info and deadline is on that post.

    Just an FYI.

Re: It's time to plan...The SPRING FLING !

We are in for this trip, the registration will be in the mail tomorrow.  Couple of questions for the more seasoned members of this annual extravaganza!!  We are staying at Knotty Pine since Skyline was booked.  I understand that I will have to launch at a separate location due the size of my boat and the configuration of their launch ramp.  Do I need to do this before I drive down to Knotty Pine or can we come get checked in and then go an launch?  Knotty Pine sent me a map of where I can alternatively launch which is Lake of the Ozarks Marina.  Has anyone launched from there?  Can you and would you leave your trailer there?  I'm concerned about Ann driving unfamiliar lake roads with the trailer attached to the truck.  Well for that matter, I'm concerned about her driving them with even just the truck since she simply doesn't drive it but maybe 3 or 4 times a year.  Also, if I need to launch before coming to the resort, how easy is it to find this place by water?  Having never been there and not being overly familiar with LoO I'd hate to get lost on the water while worrying if my wife is getting lost by land.

Sorry for all the questions, but figured this was the best group to throw this out to.

Well, I guess this makes for an oppurtune time for this announcenent. Knotty Pine has decided to back out and not allow the BBQ there Sat. On top of that, Ed & DeAnn are not going to be able to make it either and have handed the reigns over to Terri and I. Please, however, continue to send registration and checks to Ed. We will get together on this. The Fri. as well as Sat meals will be at Skyline. More info will be forthcoming.

John, having sais that you might check with Eric & Sheri @ Skyline. They may have a spot or two opened up. If not He has launched and let us leave our trialer there before when we were not staying there.

We can't wait to see everyone again,  To quote Cinderella....It's been a long cold winter!!

Well that sucks...Unfortunately the Knotty Pine website is very clear about their refund policies so I may be a little stuck at this point. When did they make this decision?  I feel a little misled since I told them I was with the Crownline group and if they knew they weren't going to host one of the activities, I feel as if they should have informed me.  I guess I should have waited and checked here before making my reservations.  Live and learn.

Re: It's time to plan...The SPRING FLING !

Dont feel bad John . Iam in the same boat. Next year we will be on the ball sooner with reservations at skyline. I called today knotty pine,  they suggested we launch first then drop the trailer off at top [the main road] before we drive into resort. we have a 270 br
Jan can handle the boat,  I drive in and out. we just cell phones to locate each other.
The marina is supposed to be close by .

Re: It's time to plan...The SPRING FLING !

If there's anything I can do to help, like drive anyones tow vehicle back for them, or take my boat and guide them back from a boat landing back to the Skyline, I'm glad to help.  I'll be getting there Thurs.

Or if it helps...I can sit back with a cold margarita, and offer moral support!!

    Cool
