Re: Doesn't look like Crowline is that strong in Michigan

I live in the Ann Arbor area, but do all of our boating in Grand Haven.  I see my share of Crownies over there on Lake Michigan, but the only dealership, Hall's, left GH a few years back.  Turned it into a 4Winns dealership.  So I see a lot more of those boats.  Unfortunately, with the weather and some hetic schedules, I havent' even got my new tabs on the boat for the summer, and it is the middle of June. Sad  Oh well, hope to get out soon and enjoy the lake.

PS I did convince a buddy of mine to get a Crownline and he does a lot of boating up on Walled Lake.

maybe some time in August? isn't it amazing how fast weekends get "booked" in the summerrtime. wouldn't it be nice to live somewhere you don't have to put the boat away... come on retirement.

Re: Doesn't look like Crowline is that strong in Michigan

Just wanted to give a shout out to all fellow crownline owners in Michigan.  I often forget about writing on this forum in the summer since I am usually out boating enjoying and relaxing.  I boat mostly on the Detroit River, hanging out in the bay at Dunbar and sullivan Island.  This is a great spot to go to.  there is deep water to dock in, makes for a great spot to go swiming since ther is no current in the bay, and provides good shelter and a great spot to stay docked in for those that do overnights on their boats.  I am sure there are more crownline owners out on the waters of Michigan.  Hope to see more of you guys out on the water.      Jeff

New to the Forum. Bought our firsy Crownline (and first boat) last year. 18' bow rider. We love it. Currentyl have it on Cass lake and enjoying every minute. Sometimes almost wish for a bigger Crownline, but the day will come. For now, I am definately a supporter and fan of Crown!

Re: Doesn't look like Crownline is that strong in Michigan

We are also residents of Washington, MI in northern Macomb county.  We took delivery of our 240EX in May.

We boat primarily on Higgins Lake, but have made it to Lake Orion and Table Rock Lake so far this summer with the new boat.  The National Crowndezvous was great (two boats from MI made it) and we really enjoyed meeting many of the folks who hang out on this site.

This weekend we'll be at Higgins and might try out Houghton Lake as well.  Looking forward to meeting more Michigan Crownies.

So many lakes...so litte time.  Cool

Re: Doesn't look like Crownline is that strong in Michigan

I've been a Michigan crownie for over 10yrs. we are on our second Crownline.

We usally spend most of our time on Smallwood Lake where our cabin is located. But being from Bay City, we ocassionally make it out on Saginaw Bay.

We are on vacation the week of Aug 3-10 and might take a 1or 2 day trip to Torch or Mullet Lake. Any other Crownies going to be around there in that time frame?
