Any one thinking about heading to Sarasota for the Grand Prix Offshore  boat races 7/6?

The race is towards the north end of Lido Key Beach. You anchor about a mile offshore. I try to get mid-course upfront. There is a couple of hundred boats usually anchored to watch the race. It can gett a little choppy out there. If you drive down by car you can catch the races from the beach. There is a huge turnout for that too. I may catch the races this year from land. 50/50.
