    Re: 2008 Chicago Loop Cruise?

Banging my head against the wall trying to put the 2008 CLC together, but feeling pretty good today because it was a pleasant, sunny day here in Chicago-burbia......  Spring just started, kids starting spring break tomorrow, boat comes out of winter hibernation next weekend, etc......

    Then I check the forecast!!!!

Friday: Periods of snow. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 34. Breezy, with a east wind between 15 and 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.

Friday Night: Periods of snow, mainly before 1am. Low around 26. Blustery, with a northeast wind between 15 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Now I think I am REALLY ready to Get Looped!!!!  Stick out tongue

We dodged the bullet down here in the SW burbs.... only a light dusting, which the sun mostly eliminated today.  Paper said some of the northern burbs got as much as 12 inches!!!

For those that may want to overnight, the Riverdale marina would be the best bet.  www.riverdalemarina.com

Although they have no ramp it is about a 15-20 minute boat ride from the Worth or Alsip ramp to the marina.  Contact them for any questions you may have regarging their facilities.  I would be more than happy to get anyone that overnights there back and forth to the hotel as I live just a mile west of the marina.

Uh, yeah, we did and it sucked. LOL Broke the snow blower belt the snow was so heavy. If I don't fix it, I know we'll get hammered again. The city plow driver must felt bad for everybody. He pushed all the snow out of the end of all our driveways.
