    Hello!

    Hello Folks,

I am new to Crownline ownership but not new to boating. My wife and I bought a 2001 205BR last year to replace our aging 185 Maxum. We purchased the Crownline late in 2007 and got in as much boating as we could in Sept and October. So far we have just had the boat out in our backyard lakes here in Madison, WI. We are looking forward to exploring other lakes in the state this year (thinking about Geneva, Green Lake and Winnebago). I am going to outfit the boat with a GPS unit before jumping onto some of these lakes where we have no yet explored.

I do have a question for anyone that might have some info. We attempted to buy front bow filler cushions for our Crownline via a local dealer in Pewaukee, WI. The dealer contacted Crownline and the response was that they no longer made the forms to produce the filler cushions for our boat. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I might be able to find the cushions? I have a feeling I may have to go the custom route.

Look forward to hearing from other WI/Midwest Crownline owners. Happy boating!

    Re: Hello!

Congrats on the purchase of your Crownline and welcome to Team Crownline there is lots of good information on these forums.  But sorry I don't have any information about your cushions.  Good luck!

    Re: Hello!

I also have been in search of fill in cushions for my 202BR and I have been working with Marine Tops Unlimited in Madison and they are really reasonable.  Steve at Marine Tops is excellent to work with.  He made a custom snap on boat cover and a bimini top and both are excellent.

    Re: Hello!

Welcome! We have a lake house two blocks off the lake in Lake Geneva and are up there pretty much every weekend. It gets a little crowded at times but we manage. I talked to Munson Marina in Fox Lake Illinois and they do have the bow filler cushions for my 2005 180 BR but I do not know if they make it for your boat or not. You may want to try there. Good Luck!

    Mark,

Your best bet would be to go custom on the filler cushions.  The 205BR was discontinued to make room for other models.  I don't think they keep the forms around to make the filler cushions.

If you are ever around Pewaukee Lake, let me know.  That is our lake and we are on it all the time.  We finally made it to Geneva a few weeks back and it was nice.  We will be heading to Green Lake sometime this year as well.

    Welcome to Team Crownline!!!!!

    Re: Hello!

Thanks for the reply Kerry. Yes.. I will probably contact a custom shop to make the cushions. My wife would really like to use the front of the boat as a tanning bed area. I'll definately let you know if we ever get over to Pewaukee Lake....We are looking forward to exporing some of the other lakes nearby. Likewise...if you ever come to Mendota/Monona or Waubesa in Madison, drop me a message. Talk to you later

    Re: Hello!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and the great ideas on contacts for getting the cushions. I will definately follow-up with the places that were suggested. I have heard of Marine Tops Unlimited but have not tried using them for any boating supplies as yet. It sounds like everyone on the forum has a great time boating. So far this year we have not had the weather we need - maybe we'll get some sun this weekend! Thanks again for the great feedback.

    Re: Hello!

    Hi Mark,

If you would like to come up to the Winnebago System, I suggest checking out www.wiparty.com - this is a "local" website for the Fox Valley and Green Bay areas.  We talk about boating, bars / resturants, etc.  Great source for local info.  Also if you come up to Winnebago, talk to those that have been there as there are areas to watch out for - prop eaters, if you will. LOL
