    240LS Camper Canvas/Filler Cushion question

We're discussing ordering the camper canvas for our boat and possibly the cockpit filler cushion also. For those 240LS owners that have this set-up, are you able to store all this stuff on board (and still have some storage areas left Surprise)? Are there multiple cockpit filler cushions or just one big one? Let me know.

BTW - If you would happen to have any pictures, could you e-mail them to me? Wink

    Thanks,

    Greg

Re: 240LS Camper Canvas/Filler Cushion question

While I don't have a 240LS we do have the "full" enclosure for our 236LS and it fits in the bow storage area where we keep a couple life jackets, our snap covers, and throwable flotation device.

And the cockpit filler for the 230BR / 236LS is one big piece and I can't see storing that other than in it's place.  Makes a nice lounge area on the 236LS but also takes up alot of floor space.

On the 240LS there are 2 filler cushions.  You don't have to remove then either when you use the bow covers as the pole fits between the cushions.

The rear cushion is one piece.  It fits in the side aft storage under the seat witout taking too much space.  We don;t have the bo filler but i saw one and it was 2 pieces.

    Ryan,

What does the full enclosure consist of, front windsheild piece, seperate side pieces and an aft piece? Do you have a picture of it installed?

    thx

    Greg,

Starboard aft, huh? Would you happen to have a picture of it in the cockpit?

    thx

     Greg,

Front windshield piece with the zippered front for the window opening.  1 side piece for each side with zippered windows.  And 1 big aft piece with a zippered window and another zippered area for my transom walkthru.

Almost all of my canvas is clear with very little "material".  I believe the camper canvas is more material than windows but I'm not sure because it's not offered on my model.

I'll see if I can find a picture.  What's your email address?  I'll email some pics if I've still got them.

Thanks for the pix Greg! I was envisioning the cushion being a bit longer though; it doesn't quite fill the whole seating area.

I notice that you've added the optional "sunbather package" as well Big Smile

Re: 240LS Camper Canvas/Filler Cushion question

Hello Greg's with the 240 LS's.  This is the other one in Minnesota that didn't get back to you about the other question...sorry!

I have the full enclosure on our 240LS and love it!!  Our bow filler cushions are in two pieces and allow for the bow cover pole to slip between them.  We also have the aft filler cushion, but am disappointed in the size of it relative to the cost.  I think I could have make my own a bit larger by purchasing marine grade plywood and finding matching marine seat fabric from "JoAnn Fabrics".  The full enclosure comes in 4 parts: 1 large forward (windshield) piece that has zippers for the walk thru window, the port and starboard pieces have a half moon zipper with screen for air movement and 1 large aft section that goes from side to side and the bimini top to the back all the way down to the swimplatform.  I wish the back section had vented screen window sections like the sides do.  I store it under the starboard bow seat in the storage bag that comes with it.  It's long but relatively flat, so it doesn't take much room.  The nice thing about the filler cushions being in place, it creates more storage under them for other large things.  We have overnighted several nights and enjoy it alot.  Our 10 and 4 year old sleep under the bow covers and out 7 year old will sleep on the floor between the passenger and helm seats.  Patricia and I are on the aft seat and filler cushion.  It's a little tight with all my 230 lbs of petiteness.  I'll get some pics and send them to you.

    Take care,

    Greg

We originally thought the same thing and i have thought about having a second one made up that would fill out the whole U shaped area.  The factory cushion stops right at the back edge of the ski locker (I think they intended for you to be able to open the locker with the cushion in place but on my boat they missed about about 1/16th of an inch... so we have to open the door part way and sneak our wakeboards out.  My wife and I sleep on the boat with the cushion in place... I am about 5'8" and i fit.  It's certainly isn't a queen size bed, but we sleep comfortably.

Re: 240LS Camper Canvas/Filler Cushion question

Good hearing from you Greg.  I have asked my dealer to order the bow cushions for me 3 times and they still haven't done it.... I would love to see some photos.  Where do you store the bow filler cushions?  I wish i could do the factory camper top but we have the factory tower with the floating bimini.  IT doesn't allow for the extra canvas to be attached.  We have thought about taking the boat down to a custom marine shop and having something made up.  For now we just throw on the bow and cockpit covers when we sleep on the boat and it works... but not optimal.
