Swimplatform / ladder handle mod - how did you do it?

I searched and i can't find where someone added a swim platform and then turned their old ladder into a handle. Does anyone know how he/she did that?

    Thanks!

    Robert

Robert - - can't answer Ur question but if U have a West Marine catalog page 563 has 2 handles....one a grab handle the other a handrail - both stainless. I installed the SS handrail on the deck of the swimplatform, close to the boat rubrail, simply by drilling the 2 holes required & sealed with sealant. Works great for us and very functional. Might be a solution 4 U.....?

I added the platform and left the factory ladder in place.  It can be pulled out from under the lid and extended to use as a handle if needed, but we never need to.

I added an aftermarket platform on my 266 and left the factory ladder in place. I added a handle on the left side of the platform near the edge.

This works great and is out of the way, so no tripping issues. If they need a handle on the right side, we just grab the exhaust escape hole in the center of the platform.
