    Re: Projected Launch Dates??

Well I mooched my first boat ride of the summer Friday afternoon- rode down from Tomes to the Granery with Bobby D. I was even witness to him putting gas IN the boat instead of selling the un-needed liquid to other boaters.

The bay was flat, the air was warm and other people still drive like a-holes.

    Thanks Bobby...Big Smile

    Re: Projected Launch Dates??

We are allowed to launch on April 1st but the lake was still frozen until April 9th! Then we are getting the boat bottom painted, but the dealer is located on a river and was subsequently flooded with the spring and all of the rain too and the work was delayed, so we are looking at next weekend, April 26 as our official launch. We are located on Lake Geneve Wisconsin. Can't wait!!!!!

Well, my drive's back on, impeller changed, battery charger installed, boat washed, buffed, polished and ready.  So, of course here comes the rain!  I hope to be in this week!  Just need to put in the plug!

Unfortunately no Phil.  Frank told me I'd used up my "help" passes already for the year.  I did see his boat the other day though and it looks nice!  Big Smile

Welcome back Henry, glad to see you make it back safe and sound.  Looks like you missed the storm this afternoon.  (probably the only one you missed in the last week).

Have you found a final mooring for 7/10s?

Congrats Henry, welcome home...Wish we could have been out there to meet ya, but unfortunately we took Tigger's Tale out today and alas still have vibration, so $1400 repair was a bust...back to the drawing board.

    Scott,

What did you have done?  Don't give up on the repair, it might still work out.

    Re: Projected Launch Dates??

You guys are killing me....I was going up to Tomes to bring the carpeting and canvas and put it in the boat. But the rain ruined that now with all this rain the Susquahanna has to be a mess.... I didn't check the dam openning but it's got to be a pretty good number of gates. So now if I get a chance to take her out for one last time I'll end hitting a submerged log or something

    Re: Projected Launch Dates??

Actually, the water was pretty clean.  Saturday, I took my first solo trip from Tomes to Turkey Point and up the Northeast River to where I will be slipping the boat.  Had to take it back to Tomes for electronics and bottom paint at the end of the day.  I should be able to pick it up by next weekend and take it "home".

It ran like a dream and I got lots of "nice boat" comments. I think I will like being a crownie.

    Re: Projected Launch Dates??

Well I pulled the cover off, installed the batteries, and started her up on Friday.....maybe next week I'll work on the boat! yuk yuk!

Actually now I just need to find an electric winch this week and I may drop Capt. Ron in the water next weekend.  The warm weather last week got me itching for the smell of gas and saltwater!

    Re: Projected Launch Dates??

Thanks, Jay.  But she will look even nicer when she's on the water.  Couple more weeks.

Congratulations Henry (and Debbie, if she's still with you after that trek!) on bringing 7/10th's to her new home port.  Can't wait to see her.
