Actually it looks like everyone is out except Greg this year.  That includes Dave.  I may be boatless, but I don't want to see the tradition totally die this year.  Why don't you guys do something small for '08.  I promise the full blown rally will be back in 09 if I have to do it myself.

"includes Dave" as in Dave Reed?  So Tome's is not planning to hold the rally?

What I got out of this is Tome's will still hold the Rally but Dave Read will have limited time to deal with it(he's busy selling my boat) Greg is still ging to do it and he put in alot last year Mark B wants to help along with John M and maybe Cappy will join in. Bobby I think just changed positions at work so he's pretty busy along with Huseman and myself. There might be something I can help out with like towels or something of that sort I have the contact info and they have our "Rally "inprint so it helps with setup charges

Dave's off today.  I'll touch base w/ him again tomorrow to see what he thinks about it.  John sent me an email offering to help, and Mr. B. said he'd help.  We'll see...

I can imagine Dave will be awfully busy trying to sell that old slow clunker of Tony's, but I guess you have to take the good with the bad.  (I wonder if my offer on that old slow clunker will go thru he asks to himself...)

I'd be happy to join the committee and do whatever I could.  I have many talents beyond arresting 7 year olds exciting Patrice with my deep voice.  There would have to be a couple planning meetings at a bar though!  Maybe we could move the location to the Middle Bay for a year so Henry can get there in less than a week.

    Bill,

If Tomes is supporting the Rally, do it up north where Dave can help and perhaps benefit in someway.  As good as he has been to the group, we shoiuld do anything we can that would help him.   Don't worry about Debbie and I, "hopefully" we will not own the Crownline by then, and after bringing the boat north from Florida, we can get to anywhere in the bay in time for the raft up.

What can we do different this year?  And I am not thinking naked boat moving or porta potty racing.

At the last Rally, I told Bobby D I'd help with planning this year too.  That still holds.

How many people are into golfing? I think it would be cool to run down to Great Oak Landing (Jellyfish Joels) and play golf on the 9 hole course. I could run down in my truck and take everybodys clubs and meet on the dock. For everybody not golfing, we could set up a raft somewhere with some in water events.

Either that or we could do a run to the Nauti Goose for lunch and then raft on the Northeast river on the way back. There is ALL KINDS of stuff we can do. Stick out tongue
