    I may have a trailerable boat by this summer- I'm willing to make the trip up as long as there are dock side taverns in the area.Drinks

    If the Chesapeake guys come up there you will need to come down for our rally too.Party!!!

    we have had our 1997 266 ccr for 4 years and we just now found this site.we have plenty of places to go to all with docking area and beverage areas.we just dont have any rallies around here. the niagara river also allows us to get to the USA by water and there is also plenty to do on the american side. hope to put something together.

    Hey sounds like a great time.  We just purchased a 2006 270CR Crownline and would like to join the party.  We are from the Olean, NY area with two girls 3 and 5.  I have been a boater for almost 26 years and a member of USPS (Unitied States Power Squadran) (http://www.usps.org) 12 year of boating has been in Maine living on the Ocean.

    We just purchased the Crownline a few weeks ago and it has been great, sitting in the parking lot, watching it snow outside. (smile)  Can't wait to get wet!!!

    Let me know if you are planning a get together that would be fun.

    Re: crownline rally in the niagara falls area

    I would be in for a N.Falls area rally. We used to keep our boat on the river (about 6yrs ago) at Bow and Stern Marina--across from Smith Boys. A "raft up" of boats would be tough on the river due to the fast moving water. Grass Island would be a good spot to anchor off together but we would have to get there early due to the crowd that gathers. Lake Erie is great except that its hit or miss whether the lake is rough or not. Places to stay on the river might be tough as well but there is a Holiday Inn right on the water (not sure if they have dock space for visitors).

    I now live in Bemus Point, NY which is on Chautauqua Lake which is about 2hrs south of N.Falls. I see alot of Crownlines on the lake here and figure it would be a great lake to have a CL rally. There are a ton of places that people could stay and be able to keep their boat in a slip. Just food for thought.

    Re: crownline rally in the niagara falls area

    Greetings Gavin;

    Could be a wonderful & splendid idea. We do our boating on lake Ontario, typically between Toronto, Port Dalhousie & the Niagara River. There are a number of marinas with slips for transient boaters around port Dalhousie (St. Catharines) and around Queens Landing (Niagara On The Lake) on the Niagara River.

    Let us know how things proceed.

    Geoffrey
