Hi Rory and Greg thanks for answering !
my 02 215 ccr has 1) a portable pottie with no flush option all manual over the side :-) 2) no hot water heater just a alum 5 gal holding tank for freshwater 3) a rear port mounted pump and washdown spicket with a hose that I screwed into the hole on the port side almost at the rear of the boat 4) there is now "shower" in the cabin area just the rear washdown 5) a lever pump sink
The jabsco pump activates as I hit the accessory switch while it was in the water I had some air and water coming out . I put about 3 gal of freshwater into the tank sat parked in the water when I tried it. As the boat sits in the rack at the marina I tried the same procedure and all air came out ( but the sink worked after I manual pumped the air out using the lever. . This led me to believe that the washdown is actually coming from the bottom of the boat in a intake. The lever on the "seacock" was open all day since It was my 1st trip on my boat. Prior to the forklift lifting my boat out to go in the rack I used a dockside water hose to wash the deck and bilge area and the bilge under the motor activated but my sump pump did not pump " the bilge did my drains actually backed up . ( the sump is located about 1-2' forward of the bilge pump and is full of water and was disconnected when I originally saw the boat back in feb)
Upon being taken out of the water the attendant said there is alot of water coming out I replied I rinsed it down and waited till the auto bilge turned off & stopped pumping ( thinking I got most of the water out before lifting) The boat was very dry in the bilge area before I rinsed it down. So basicly and there is about 3 gal of water left in my holding tank as the sink works fine. So I am like why is the washdown pumping all air now that the boat is out of the water? I am also wondering why the carpeted forward bilge area in the cabin is wet ( not puddling) there is 2 outlets on the front port side of the hull to drain for the sink as well as the outlet for the front bilge. there is also a switch in the cabin adjacent to the lights for a pump but that makes no noise when i flip the switch " but water came out after manually pumping at the sink
The "parts" guy at my local dealer led me to believe this may be a aftermarket set up to draw raw water in but it looks installed like factory
I have a feeling maybe I need to check fittings, screens and connections fill the tank and open the lever on sink and bleed air as well) If anybody has any insight it would greatly be appreciated ( I will even call you to save on the typing) my email is bsr1065@aol.com
