    TABLE ROCK LAKE 4/12/08

My wife and I just got back from Table Rock Lake . It is not a good thing. The water is approx. 20 ft. above normal pool, it is a record high. Our marina is all under water. There is no way to get to our boat except with a other boat. The story I am getting is that it will be july before the lake is back to normal. We sure hope they are wrong. I have been to Table Rock since I was a youngster and have never seen such flooding. They say they plan to close the flood gates monday or tuesday. Opening the flood gates has flooded a lot of taneycomo and raised Bull Sholes up 40 Ft. it is unreal. The water is up to the bottom of the Kimberling City bridge. If you have a boat in a slip you better check on it.

    Re: TABLE ROCK LAKE 4/12/08

Thanks for the report Gary. Fortunately this year we took our boat off the hoist and had indoor storage. Did you take pictures? If so, I would love to see them.

I suspect the estimate reports of being high until July are at the extreme end of things. If rain keeps coming as it has over the past month, yes, otherwise I'd suspect Memorial Day. Rain, Rain, Go away!

    Re: TABLE ROCK LAKE 4/12/08

The July time frame is a consistent message from marina's and local news stations.  We were down over the weekend and got to watch tournament fisher's troll through our front yard...no kidding!

The water was so high on Friday and Saturday that on the south end of Kimberling Bridge water was being blown over the road.  Yep, it was super windy, but the water was high enough to carry.  The good news is the water is seemingly clear of major debris....even down at the dam.

    Re: TABLE ROCK LAKE 4/12/08

Yes we took a lot of pictures but I do not know how to send them . I am a big dummy. We are optimist but I see no way they can release mass amounts of water, because of the extreme flooding down stream. Go to the Sprinffied News Leader they have 35 pictures. Bull Sholes is so full that it is almost to the top of the powersite dam. The flooding is unreal. Our 192 is at Gage's Marina and the slip / dock is approx.200 ft.from dry load than normal. The walkways look like they may be trashed.

My home lake Greers Ferry is also very high.  The core shut down all the ramps and the road to my  marina is flooded. My back up lake is TR and its to high for comfort also. Have they shut the ramps to it yet?   My only hope to get on the water is swim to my party barge but its a bit cold yet for that.

    Re: TABLE ROCK LAKE 4/12/08

I guess some of the ramps are open as there was a large bass tournament on the lake this weekend.  Passing under the Hwy 86 bridge would be a VERY tight squeeze in a bass boat right now.  The north end of the Kimberling City Bridge did have clearance.  My slip is about 60 feet from shore right now...maybe 10 or 12 feet.  That is as close as it could be moved in....too cold for me to make the swim as well!

The lake was up against one of the condo building foundations at Kimberling Inn on Saturday.  The lake was down about 8 to 12 inches on Sunday around 10 am.

There is also some pics and videos of the flooding on you tube. Norfork lake where i go in Arkansas is 30 feet above summer pool and set a record high this week also. The water is 2 feet from the top of the dam, i am off work this upcoming weekend and i  have had plans to take my boat out for the first time since i bought it, i told my wife i will put my boat in the water if i have to unload it in the middle of the highway, i tired of waiting for warm weather

    Re: TABLE ROCK LAKE 4/12/08

Normal pool for Table Rock is 915. I agree that it will be July until we see 915. By memorial day I hope its low enough that we can walk onto the docks.

    Re: TABLE ROCK LAKE 4/12/08

I make it down to TRL about once a year so the full pool number doesn't quite resonate with me.  Any rough estimates of what level the lake was at for Summersplash last year?  That would give me a little better perspective.

The lake was around 916 last year during the SummerSplash.

    Re: TABLE ROCK LAKE 4/12/08

So, it's about 15' higher right now?  Cool.  I was always worried about running aground on that lake.  Stick out tongue  Guess those couple of danger points aren't an issue right now huh.  Would be cool if the docks were level with that retaining wall so we didn't have to go down those steps at the KI.  That'd be sweet!  We could float up to Ahoy's.
