    Rodney n Angie Miller:

I'm coming off a hell of a year and i need some good sound tracks for the vessel... I'm open to all music, but i have to admit I like a plefora of music... I'm a Nickelback to Marc Broussard Fan, AC/DC to Jimmy Buffet, Toby Keith to Norah Jones,,,,

I got some great suggestions here in years past i'm looking for a new album and playlist...

OAR... cool, they will be in StL with a free concert on 7/18 outdoors.  FYI

I was totally on board till you mentioned "thee" Ohio State University.... Real engineering schools don't write in cursive.  We like block letters, like P's

I'm not sure we ever claimed to be an engineering school.  Maybe I just drank too much and missed it!  ;)

But don't knock the Script Ohio!!!  Have you ever seen it?  Don't you guys roll out that giant drum?  WTF?  What's that all about??  :)

    And about OAR...

They're coming to Columbus August 14th!  Can't wait!  Wish I could see them for 3 nights at the Gorge (Washington) with Dave Matthews!  Now THAT would be a great weekend!

Dotting I is not as cool as Driving the Drum... I know... I drove it...

Installed the CO2 cartridges and pulled the trigger... IU didn't like it when on a frosty November Day we left a large pile of ice on their 50yd Line.  We marched at OSU one year, they sat us on the field...

I LOVE all college football and the traditions, don't get me wrong... to each his own, especially in the Big 10/11 or whatever... Been to every stadium but Iowa.

    Re: Music suggestions...

If you are a true diehard Pink Floyd fan try some of the more modern tracks from Tool. You would be surprised at some of the similarities.  Stuff off Lateralus (double platinum album) and 10000 days is great.

    Re: Music suggestions...

The best music suggestion I have is to get a portable XM radio.  It's our first summer having it in the boat and it is great.  Pick a channel and the DJ job is done!

Boiler Up to Rodney and Angie!  It's nice to meet fellow Boilermakers.

Free Beer in the Endzone... Go Team Go!

Ditto on the Satellite Radio, we have Sirius receiver/docking station on the vessel.  It is great having Margaritaville etc for stations... we spent last Saturday tied up and listening to North Carolina Jimmy Buffet broadcast... but sometimes its good to have the ole MC controls.

Thanks for all the suggestions, were it not for this thread I would have never discovered Pandora.com  (which rocks, btw)

Still looking for that perfect acoustic sound, that dreadknocker vocal yada yada... Grillin' and Chillin' music... You know the type.

Hail Purdue, Hail Yes, Damn Right, No Sweat, Scooby Doo and All that Jazz, Roses, Yep, Befori, Smacks, HowarYa, Peaches... AAAAAhhhh YesSir!!!

    Re: Music suggestions...

Have any of you guys gotten into Jack Johnson?  I started listening to him this year after hearing his new stuff on Sirius Spectrum.  Nice chill water music.  New record is excellent and if you read up on the guy, you gotta like him.  He's a family man and surfer.

    Re: Music suggestions...

Jack Johnson is VERY good chillin' music, I agree.  I even like his kids album he did for the Curious George movie.  And, my son loves it so we agree on something!  :o)  A little too mellow for me though on the boat.  O.A.R. hits the spot....mellow yet groovy!
