    4th of July in Tampa

    Anybody got any plans?

We're thinking of heading over to the St Pete Pier.  They've got live music starting in the late afternoon and going up till the fireworks at 9pm.

Anyone want to do a tieup?

That sounds like fun Ryan.  We are finally able to put boats on the lake but we still can't make a wake.  Also, I almost took a job in Tampa.  It turned out not to be the right fit at the time though.  Have fun and be safe on the 4th.

Good to hear the lake level is coming down.  It sounds like we will be the only Crownies heading over to the Pier for the fireworks.  A friend of ours just bought a little Bayliner so they may follow us over.  Either way, I know I'll be having a good time!!

We are going to do our usual 4th of July at the Tampa Marriott Marina.

It's the best place to see the Channelside fireworks.

And you don't have to deal with all the partying boaters trying to get home in the dark.

4th of July in Tampa Pics

Well, as reluctant as I was to deal with drunk boaters in downtown Tampa, we decided to try it out and man am I glad we did.  Had a great time and drank a little too much.  But after the Tampa fireworks at 9pm, a fancy bar across the water called Jackson's had paid for their own show and at 11pm they pulled a barge about 200 feet in front of our boat and it was absolutely awesome.

Hung out with Cliff and Robin for an hour or so before walking over to Channelside for some food.  Then back to the boat to see the show(s).

     Here's a couple pics.
