Wow, Dude.  Dead brain cells!  You're right, Mr. Knight was was at Severn River.  And it was actually Ms. Haines that was the administrator that had my mother's phone # memorized at SPHS.  Ahh, the good old days.  I actually went to all 3 Jr. Highs/ Middle school - Severna Park Jr (split session) in 7th, Magothy River Middle in 8th (first Middle school at that time and first year it was open), and Severn River Jr. in 9th.  Anne Arundel County schools are the bestest!

We definately should do a SPHS Crownie reunion.  And Cappy, you can come too, since they didn't have schools that long ago. Big Smile

I think if you check the historical records of early school rooms (aka caves or dirt) they were suprisingly advanced.

Now Cappy will probably happily reminese about the good 'ol days of marble slabs & a chisel to do his homework, but in these days of computers & their constant crashing, rebooting, etc.,  I'm not always sure they are a whole lot faster than what Cappy had to deal with.

I also remember the split sessions at SPJH or middle or whatever they called it.  I hated them...

Hey, lets hear it for Schoolus Highus Maximus, class of X.  In principio creavit Deus caelum et terram.   And when he said "Let there be Light", I knew the guy who flipped the switch.

Those were the days.  I remember our principal, Claudius Maximus, Good old Claude.

You young whippersnappers don't know how good you had it.  Why when I went to school we had to walk 10 hectares and cross 2 aquaducts..

But at least History class was easy, there was only about 2 years of stuff to remember.

LMAO at John.  I gotta hand it to ya - you're still pretty quick and witty.

The kid's today have it made .....  Shoot, remember in our day they were just starting to let us use calculators in class.  Now they have laptops and instead of passing paper notes back and forth, they just email, or IM, or post on each others MySpace.  Yeah, we're geezin'

Hey Frank you have to realize now they don't play "greek dodge" and one of my favorites "stick wrestling" actually I just liked climbing the ropes at gym class because of that funny tinging feeling you get by the time you reach the top

Yeah, and the nasty rope burns on the thighs from the descent down the rope from that cheap hemp rope!
