Yeah Chris, I was on Geneva back in early May.  I am not a fan of that lake because too many people do not pay attention.  I see a Chicago woman was killed on Saturday while wakeboarding.  She wiped out and while the boat was turning to pick her up, someone hit her with their boat and killed her.  Quite the bummer, she was only 28. A little reminder out there to everyone.  Please pay attention.  Legally you can not be within 100 feet of a downed Skier or someone in the area if you a going above idle speed.

They are now allowing boats back on Pewaukee lake, still no wake though.  I think it was political because of the fourth of July.  Business owners don't want to miss out on that revenue.  Of course the Sports Dock still does not have any piers in.

    Re: Deluge in Wisconsin

Just read about the woman who was killed on L Geneva.  Yikes.

My wife and I went to Lake Geneva Sat. 21st.   No issues with water levels.  There were boats out but nowhere near the usual numbers we see on a typical summer weekend.  I thought for sure it would be packed with people fleeing flooded areas and looking for a place to boat.  Not sure if gas prices or the spotty weather were to blame.   It may be a good alternative boating destination for the time being if you are close enough.

As an added bonus, I was able to fill up the boat on the way out for 3.99 a gallon.  Add 25 gal or so in the truck = $310 on visa card.

NOT "priceless" as they would say but better than $4.20/gal down here.  Probably ate up the $16 in savings towing the weight back home!

I'm with you Kerry. We've only hit Lake Geneva on weekdays. And with the chain being closed, it was probably a zoo up there. Between flooding and business trips, we've only been on the boat 3 times this season. Although, th upcoming Table Rock trip should take care of that. Been wanting to go to Silver Lake near us. I've never been on it but some friends say it's a nice lake to boat.

Glad to hear it Ryan.  It looks like I-94 is shut down just east Madison because of high water.  Somewhere around Johnson Creek and Lake Mills.
