I think it's gonna be a tough year for any business on the lake--especially the bars/grills.
Speaking for myself, we will still be at the lake every possible weekend but the difference in fuel costs motivates us to either spend more time just on the dock or if we take a long cruise down the channel we're packing lunches.
I went to Captain Ron's on Saturday and they got busy right after lunch, but I don't know how many meals/drinks they're serving compared to the number of people sitting in the docks and on the beach. Big ***'s was pretty busy over the weekend as well.
I heard that Coconuts spent around 7 Million. I don't care how many drinks you sell--it's damn near impossible to make a monthly payment all year on 3 months' business on the lake. Crazy.
