    Any GA Boaters Out There?!

Wondering if there are any Crownie's on Lake Allatoona.  We have just stepped up to an 05 240ex. Look forward to seeing you up there. Introduce yourself both here and in Illinois Creek if you see us.

    Hey Gary!!

Welcome to Team Crownline!!!  I don't live in Georgia but wish I did as you are probably having better weather than we are. How is the water levels down by you?  I have heard nightmare stories about low water levels.

The lake levels are low, but coming up slowly. I boat on Lake Lanier and it has gone up about 5 feet in the last couple of months. It got to the lowest I have ever seen. We elected to dry stack our boat at a marina when we purchased in 02 because of the lake levels and ramps not being opened. We should be fine launching right now. I pass over the lake everyday and the number of fishermen have picked up, so maybe that means more ramps are also opening back up. If you have a boat you will find a way to use it!!!

I hear yah Ryan!  Glad to see Lanier is rising and there are some other GA boaters here on the site.

I passed over our lake this afternoon and it's close enough to call full.  It generally doesn't get near pool until end of April.

Here is a link to the Army Core's lake level watch, that way you can keep an eye on your pond:

I know quite a few Crownline owners on the lake. There are getting to be more and more. For some reason they all keep to themselves. Maybe they don't know the fun in numbers.

I've only been on Allatoona a few times. In High School we went took the parasail out on Allatoona.

Shoot me an email if you ever make a trip over to our side of the world, maybe we could tie up or something with the families.

    Hi, Gary.

I live in Buford, GA and boat on Lake Lanier. I live across the street from The Dam Store. For those of you who have driven up and down the dam road, you know what I mean ;)

I saw a 266(?) BR on lake Allatoona this past holiday weekend (July 4th) with 3 people on it. I told them "nice boat".

Is that anyone here on the site?

Glad you could enjoy some GA Hospitality. Even if it was on Lanier.  Was the water still way down?  I hear the core is blaming Lanier's low water level on a faulty $17 part that caused them to let out more water daily than intended.

We're luck on this side of town, our lake filled up to full pool the earliest it has in years.

Re: Any GA Boaters Out There?!

The water level did rise somewhat early Spring, but now it's slowly dropping again, despite the fact that the Corp of Engineers said they would reduce the outflow. They did have a"mechanical problem" about a year ago that caused more water to be released than should have been. The part was very inexpensive and they knew it wasn't working properly the entire time. Not sure why they didn't fix it right away. Out of seven ramps across the street from me, only two are open and they may close within a week or two if we don't get more rain.

We had a good time.  My BIL lives in Marrieta.  He would love to have us move into the lake house and keep his properties maintained and the lake house secured as its been broken into 2 times in the last 3 years. It's a 6000 sq ft house with a double dock so I would have a place for my boat also.   I'm a contract engineer and my current contract will expire in a few months.  Hmmmm...you never know..........
