I think a better solution would be to trade the bow rider for a cruiser and keep it in a slip at duffys  Big Smile

Until "someone" goes back to work and that 2nd income thing starts happening in Mi Casa, the bowrider will have to do.

I like the Hi-n-Dry storage idea to keep the boat protected/as nice as possible, so that's probably the route we're going. We would like to be on the North/North Eastern Shore since we've been boating primarily on the Sassafras and Bohemia. We're looking at Tome's Landing (although Tome's is a bit of a cruise to the Sassafras), Jackson Marine and Triton Marina. I did call Bill's Boats on the western shore and was impressed, especially with their pricing, however it's about a 100 mile commute one way from our home (which is a bit far especially with the lovely sibling rivalry that goes on and on and on and on between my son and daughter on any commute over 5 minutes Angry)

    Hey Tony,

I thought you sold your boat.

Not yet.....with gas nearing $5 and the economy in the dumpster ....I can't understand why no one wants to buy a nice boat with a big motor.Big Smile It's still for sale but I'm not holding my breath.....a wise man once told me..... no wait he was actually a drunken bricklayer  but anyway he told me "it is what it is" so if some one wants to buy it it's gone but if no offers than I'm going to try to use it as much as possible....one time so far

Thats funny Tony.  Same story here.  I still have mine listed, and am dying to get into a 28-29 cruiser, but until then, we just use the 275 when we can.  We have been hiring babysitters to leave the twins at home, and just taking out Zach.  It costs me more for the babysitter than I spend in gas....

I've pretty much succomed to the fact she won't sell this year. I'm gonna pull it out of brokerage for next summer and keep it at duffys again. Or maybe just trade it for a big sedan Surprise  (as soon as the lottery pulls the correct numbers)

    Mark:

I was thinking a wet slip.

So, you would suggest Sassy over Bohemia any day.

I did see the lifts at Granary, I will check that out.

A client suggested Duffy's, when I went there the lady was anything but friendly.

Does anyone know what Tome's charges for winter storage only?  25 feet.

Sassy...hands down. Shoot Bobby D an E-mail about the Granery- he is keeping his 242 there on a lift. He also keeps his boat at Tomes inside during the winter.

Next time you go to Duffys, ask for Marsha...she will do anything for you.

    Mark;

The Bobby D plan works for me.

Do you know his e mail address?

Re: Hi-n-Dry's on the Northern Bay

I would like to echo Mark's comments.  We keep our boat at Duffy's and we really only ever deal with Marsha.  Bobby D's email is cbcrabs@verizon.net or you call his cell 302-593-9031.  I'm going to guess at numbers here but we pay $2650 for year round at Duffy's and I believe that Bobby pays $3400 for the summer lift at the Granary.  I have no idea what Tomes is for winter storage.

Now for Mark, I can only hope that you sell your boat b/c yours makes mine look bad when its at Duffy's.  If we hit powerball then maybe we can start our own marina. Cool

Duffy's - Two votes for the Sheltered Cove at Duffy's. I assume Duffy's does your mechanical - Are their mechanics okay?

As a true-blood accountant, I am mechanically challenged.

    I e mailed Booby D.
