We made it home safe and sound. Had a great time and thanks to all that made it happen. I forgot how much I love Lake Norris.

We're headed out Wednesday morning. Tail end Charlie better late than never. Phil, I just fired up TOBACCO Money for the first time yesterday. I'll be hitching it up tonight to get the trailer tires aired-up and the pressure water system flushed. CU at Norris!

Everyone have a safe trip. We attended Norris in 2004 and 2007 and had blast both times. Very nice lake. We stayed at the Lake Front condos the first time and shared the Potter house with two other families the second time. Great memories. . . .. Someday we will be back.

I switched phones a while ago and lost about every number I had. Drop me an email with yours....

Well I know the rental office closes at 5pm usually and we have to get a slip through them when we get there so I want to make sure we get in early enough that they are still around and then have a little time left of daylight so we can hit the lake if we want.

You know, we might get there that early too. We're going to be at Joe & Laren's Friday/Saturday nights. If we go ahead and go earlier in the day on Sunday, it will free them up so they can get out on their lake again. Shoot me a text so I have your number if you have mine.

I'm sure we'll see you guys in the parking lot or something. I think we're trying to meet Mark and Treena in town around 2pm to shop then get to the lake by 4pm so we'll probably run right into each other at some point.

We'll probably be at Deerfield around 3pm / 4pm since we aren't supposed to check in until 4pm.

Anybody going to head over to the tie-up cove Sunday night? We're thinking of heading over there after we get situated.

Rolling out saturday night..... probably drive all night, maybe a quick nap on the way somewhere, and WALLA! Norris Lake hopefully by noon on sunday!!!!!!

We will be rolling out Sunday morning........and I best be getting my butt in gear getting ready.

Fired up the boat for the first time last night and shortly thereafter I went into panic mode. The last thing that I had done to the engine last fall was drain the oil, change the filter and refill the oil. Never did restart the engine after changing the oil. Last night, when I started it up.......zero oil pressure, no Guardian alarms, no abnormal engine noise. Shut it down after 5-7 seconds. Rechecked the oil level and cranked it back up for 7-10 seconds. Still no oil pressure and no Guardian alarms. Thunked the oil filter with my finger and I didn't like the sound....hollow, tinny sound. Spun off the oil filter and found it was dry as well as the oil lines. Complete crisis started to close in. Rechecked the oil level and cranked the trailer tongue jack way up. Grabbed a quart of oil, dumped about half of it down the lines to the oil filter mount anf reinstall the oil filter. On the restart, immediately had oil pressure. Temp came up to normal and stabilized. Needless to say I'll be keeping the RPM's down and watch the oil pressure guage like a hawk for awhile.

Ryan, Bob and I and Justin and Jen will be leaving Wed. morning, and we will be staying on our boat that night. Mike and Kathy Miller will be driving over from Cherokee Lake ( near Gatlinburg) also on Wed. morning. Starting Thurs., we have a condo rented at Springs Dock. Would love to hook up with you guys Wed. afternoon. Can't wait for all the fun to begin!!!
