Just thought I would start a post for the SC owners as they do not seem to be represented. Any SC folks, post and lets see how many we can get together to go to Georgetown in late August or early November.

    Hello Caroll & Isaac:

    Nice to have your post.

We normally go out from the public landing at Dorchester Road near Duncans into the Ashley, but have gone out at Goose Creek on the Upper Cooper. At high tide the upper Ashley Landing at the end of Ladson Road is also a good drop off and fishing, and has good parking and a nice ramp/dock. Dorchester is closer to the interstate. The upper Ashley is an hour to the Chas Marina, but goes past both plantations.

We have not been on the lake yet, but would like to try it. I suspect I would drop off around Moncks Corner, but I am concerned with depth and tree issues. Sounds like Isaac is making that trip to Chas today. I bet he is on the water now, now I am not so happy, wish I was on the water.

We may not be able to get out on Saturday, but will on Sunday and may try to hit a beach head north of Isle Of Palms. The one we have been going to is Sandy Point which is at the mouth of the Folly River between Kiawah and Folly Beach. It is a very nice place to beach with lots of folks. Takes about 1 hour from the Dorchester Road landing to get to the point and two from the upper landing on the Ashley. Nice ride from both, but with fuel, we tend to try the closer.

My Wife Terry and my four kids 18m, Elezabeth, 5 Maximilian 6 Thomas and 17 Samantha enjoy the time off, (our boat is called "About Time Off".

Post again. Also have personal e-mail at mrn714@aol.com or cell 843 693 7604.

We are not going until Sep. You can put in at Gilligan’s and go down the river to Char. I have done this trip many of times. Just make sure you stay on the right side (green/red) of the markers. We have a big group 15 to 20 people. I would like do something different maybe put in at MB and go to the Outer Banks.

Sorry Issac, thought that this was September. Love to go with you. You say put in at Gilligans? I believe that use to be the Dock Resturant. If you are dropping in at that point, we are in. If your going for two days, are you staying someplace in Chas. Let me know more, we would love to get involved. Perhaps Mr. Bodie and Carroll want to joint in.

Not sure about the MB to Outer Banks but possibly a Georgetown from Chas or MB might be possible. Perhaps Jamie and Carroll might join in September. Let me know.

We go out on the Ashley River at Jessen Landing (Dead end off Ladson road across Dorchester Road behond the Bowling Ally and County Farm (next to Duncans and the 526 bridge to West Ashley. Hello all...

We're also new to this, we just bought a 06 180BR. I used to live in Pawleys Island, so it's neat to hear about everybody talking about my old stomping grounds. We're now located in northern KY, so we boat on the lakes and river here. We've talked about taking a trip back down and going up the intercoastal waterway since we have family in Wilmington NC, but I'm really not sure were to start, or if an 18 footer is really even up to that. Any suggestions?

    Thx

An intercosatal trip is good from Chas, Beufort, Myrtle Beach. All the waterways are good for your size craft. I suggest starting from Chas. Good fuel and lodging are available all along the coast.
