Any rumors on who will be the new Crownline dealer in Tampa Bay?

Tracker is closing their doors in December.  So far it hasn't been decided who will be handling repairs and service.  Any rumors floating around?  I know we can go to Bradenton and Orlando (Bass Pro Shops), but that's just way too far.  I don't even own a trailer so I'm really hoping it will be a facility on the water in my area.  Supposedly Bass Pro will be opening a store in the Tampa Bay area, but it won't be till 2009.  I just got my boat so I'm a little nervous right now.  Everyone at Tracker and Crownline has been great so far, hopefully they can keep it up with this bump in the road.

    Wow

Just went down to my local Tracker dealer for some warranty issues and was sent packing !!! (well as good as)

They said " not really interested in the product any more, we cannot wait to sell the last of the inventory and finish with Crownline"

If Tracker is finished with Crownline in Florida how many dealers are left in the state?????.

Heck, that's the treatment I've been getting from the Dania Beach Tracker Marine since I pulled my boat off the lot the day I bought it in April. Both of the salesmen I had been dealing with either quit or were fired within two weeks, and no one else there was willing to return a phone call.  I had about five new boat issues that I wanted them to address, and to date the only thing they took care of was sending me the hand pump for the closed cooling system.

I hope it was crownline telling them to get stuffed.

I spoke to Crownline and they told me the were working on a a new dealer but the deal was not complete.  They said it should be before the beginning of December but no promise.  They would not tell me whom they were working with but they seemed confident that a deal would be struck.  Untill then I guess we are on our own.  I hope somthing happens fast.

I noticed that the CL Admin popped up in a similar thread and posted information there.  I wonder why he hasn't shown up in this thread yet.  I hope there aren't going to be major issues with warranty and service work.

I talked with him offline and they are currently looking for dealers to replace Tracker.  They will be down at the Ft. Lauderdale show soon and hope to have something worked out.  I was not told this, but I have to imagine that if there was a period of time without a authorized dealer in the area they would work something out with you to get your boat fixed if you had a problem as they are a pretty stand up company when it comes to warranty work.

That's the best news I've heard since I bough tmy boat last year. The worst service experience ever at Tracker. I don't think they'll be selling or servicing anyting what so ever for long!

Looking forward to the new dealer.

I went to the Ft Lauderdale boat show and there's a new dealer called Boat Connection in or around Palm Beach. He's not carrying anything over 25ft though.

My boat is still at Tracker for the 20 hour service.  It's taking forever.  All the techs quit and they're down to one.  I think tomorrow it will be three weeks. In their defense, they did have a long list of stuff to do.  They still haven't told me who is taking over service when they shut down.

I'm surprised someone from Crownline hasn't chimed in on here yet.

Crownline, please comment on this thread and support your Crownline customers.  Your relationship with Tracker could possibly ruin your market in Florida for years to come, take this opportunity to contact your existing customer base in Florida so that we all know how to solve all our warranty issues etc.  Your customer service dept is not helping this issue by recommending that I take my 250CR from Fort Myers to Palm Beach for warranty issues.  ( What route would you recommend the Caloosahatchee River or around the Keys Surprise )

Re: Any rumors on who will be the new Crownline dealer in Tampa Bay?

Was Tracker the only distributor for Crownline in Florida?  Quite honestly, I had never heard of Crownline till we bought ours.   After a ton of reasarch we bought one anyway and we're really enjoying it.  I  hope this dealer network stuff gets straightened out asap.  It's a little disconcerting when you buy a fairly expensive boat the the dealer shuts down a couple months later......

Howard, Specifically, what are you asking?  Although Tracker is no longer an authorized Crownline retailer, there is no reason they can't perform warranty repairs. Several of their stores are working very closely with us on warranty repairs for both ours, and their, customers.

Can you tell us who the new dealer will be in Pinellas County when Tracker closes it's doors on December 1?
