    Bimini Top

I want a bimini top for next year. I have a 2005 180 BR. I would like to know where I can get one and what the cost would be. One more thing if anyone knows where or if I can get a boat cover that snaps on as opposed to the cover you pull over and put the posts up on. I would greatly appreciate any info. I am sick of covering the boat with that cover up at the lake house leaving for a week sometimes two and wondering if I am going to be shop vaccing water out of the carpet the next time I see the boat.

    Thanks, Kenny

    Re: Bimini Top

Overtons.com  has good prices on the Bimini's. As for the snap down cover you would have to find a custom shop to do that and some of them make the Bimini tops

Thanks Jamie I'll look into Overtons for the bimini top. I thought a Crownline dealer may be able to put snaps on the boat for the cover. I thought Crownline offered the specific cover I'm talking about but I don't know!

    Re: Bimini Top

Kenny, You should be able to go through your Crownline dealer and get the bimini top as well as a cockpit and bow cover. Being that you have a 2005 this should be no problem for your dealer I would think.

I live in Elburn right now but am moving to St. Charles within the next couple months. We also have a summer home up in Lake Geneva a couple blocks off the lake. I figure everything up there is overpriced though. Thanks to everyone for all the info. The only thing I didnt get was how much will the bimini top cost?

    Re: Bimini Top

We ordered the frame factory from CL for about $300. The canvas place charged us an additional 1200 but we did the full camper canvas as well as some privacy curtains and extra repair work to our existing boat cover.

    Re: Bimini Top

I am looking at getting a cockpit cover.  are there any other 240EX owners out there that have the bow and cockpit cover?  When I ordered my boat I asked for the moaring cover "which in my humble opnion was the wrong thing to do."  they took  the cockpit cover off the price.  I have a bow cover but it has a pole in the center and I am not sure it is for road travel or not.  is there another bow cover that I should get as well?  I will be ordering it in Feb from a Crownline dealer I think I was quoted around $400 for the cockpit cover.  I didn't ask about the bow cover.  Let me know if anyone out there has any information that will help me

    Re: Bimini Top

Rob, it sounds like the typical bow cover.  Just get the cockpit cover and you'll be all set.  I use the bow and cockpit covers for towing and the mooring cover under the roof of our dock and I also put it over the bow and cockpit if the boat is on the trailer and rain is on it's way.  I like having all the covers.
