    GA Newbie to the site...

As I recently have become a Crownie, I look forward to hanging with fellow lovers of the brand. We stepped up from an 00 SeaRay 185 Bowrider to an 05 240ex deck.  We look forward having a more family friendly boat.

Has anyone taken their 240ex out in the the chop, ie the Gulf or Ocean? Just wondering how the deck hull will handle it vs a Deep V.

We have a trip planned to Destin this summer with other boats, and just want to have myself prepared for what lies ahead when we get there and how to handle it in the chop.

    Hi Gary!

Welcome to Team Crownline! I am sorry I can not help you with how your 240EX will be in the chop, but I will say that eveything I have heard about how it handles rough water is good. It is a heavy boat for it's size and from other owners that have compared they say it does just as good as the deep Vs.

When you say you are cruising to Destin, how long of a cruise is that? Distance and time. Just curious. Smile

We have 3 boats trailering down on a Thursday. It will take about 7 hours from here (normally takes 5.5hrs by car, we built in a little time). This will be our first time going down for this trip.  We normally do an annual TN River trip, but decided that variety being the spice of life that it is, we'll give it a shot. We'll have 3 days on the water and will return on Monday.  Thanks for your input.
