    Thank You Prestige

Thank you Byron at Prestige.  The replacement brake light came to replace the one that only had 6 of the 8 LEDs lit.  I got it installed and works great.

I put 2" screws in the carpeted fenders after the starboard one took out my flexible brake line the last time loading the boat at the ramp.  I think I got the brakes working OK tightening the brake line at the caliper and after pumping and filling the master cylinder a lot.  I took 2 short test drives.  On the first one, I didn't have the bleeder screw torqued enough on one of the calipers so some fluid leaked.  There was also some fluid dripping from the area below the master cylinder.  I think I must have filled the master cylinder tank too full so it leaked out of the cap.  Everything seemed to stay dry on the second drive.  The truck/boat/trailer combo stops a whole lot better than it did when I drove home from the lake pumping all of the fluid out of the brake lines each time I stopped.

    Re: Thank You Prestige

They are a great company to deal with.  I don't even have a Prestige Trailer (only b/c they don't make and aluminum trailer) and Byron gave me better customer support than Magic Tilt did...and they didn't even make it!

Hint on the coupler, I think they use UFP couplers like the one on my trailer...there is a small hole on the bottom side of the coupler (about 3/8" hole) that you can insert a screwdriver or something in and pump the brakes without having to drive or manually push in the coupler by hand.  You should bleed the brakes if the system had a leak to get out any air.
