    Anchors

Over the weekend a Possum Kingdom i lost my anchor- must have wedged under a rock.  I could not get it out for the LIFE of me- finally it snapped off.  Anyway, I have a 250CR and this was the anchor that came with the boat.  I recently purchased this boat as an upgrade from my 19 MAXUM so I have my old anchor- however, I am not sure how it will work....

My old anchor is the "digger" anchor- nice anchor that always held plus it has this unique future to go flight (for pull up) when you pull the rope so the issue that happened at PK would not have happened (I believe).  The digger anchor has specific instructions that you not use a chain- rope only.  Long story short- can you install this anchor on a winch?  Does anyone use one of these?  I'm sure it will install but is it funcational?  I looked online and there is not much info as they are mostly used as "river" anchors in tough current since they hold so good...

     thanks-

    Chris,

I think you can hook that too a winch.  Digger saying that in the instructions are just trying to tell you that you don't need it.  Try it on the winch without the chain first.  If it works great, if not put a chain on it.

On a side note, O'Man and I pulled up a huge tree at Table Rock Lake during the National.  LOL!!!!  Pretty interesting.
