    Sad, sad day in Michigan

and I am not talking about the football team. Its that time again. Sunday I got in the very cold water and pulled the boat out for the last time of the year. I spent the rest of the day cleaning out the interior and giving her one last bath before I took her to her winter home. I have been in a bad mood ever since. The only thing that has cheered me up in the past is Michigan Football, doesn't look like that is going to work this year. I guess it is time to waste countless hours on Xbox Live. COME ON SPRING. you guys in the south really have it good. Damn you winter, damn you to hell!!!!

    Yup,

We are getting close to the big W.  I think we are holding out for a couple more weekends.  This weekend is supposed to be in the 70's.

OK, how's this for sad in VA? I'm planning to winterize again in a week or so with ZERO hours for 2008. Hopefully 2009 will be a much better year. To make matters worse, haven't hit a golf ball since June and my vacation time in November for deer season has been canceled.

Think of the good times on the water this year...

You need to hold below 32F for more than 24hrs to get nervous. As long as you're warming during the day, you're still OK.

    Eddy,

The weather here in Chattanooga is not as nice as you would think for October. Right now at 11 pm it's a frigid 72 degrees and tomorrows forecast is not much better but we're going to man up and take a cruise down the Tennessee River Gorge. The weather is going to be nasty. I got this forecast hot off the Weather Channel web site:

    Oct 11  Tomorrow

Sunny skies. Warm. High 83F. Winds NE at 5 to 10 mph

Haha, I couldn't resist. Pack your bags and shoot on down here and join us. We'll have the beer iced down and the food a smoking!

Well, we have the fridge loaded with Coors Light and Mich Ultra. They sell beer until 3 am so I'll run down and get a case of Corona so hop a flight and pop a top. We;re going to party and cheer loudly as I hope the Tennessee Vols continue their losing ways. Yes, I'm a Bama fan.Oh, and you'll love this since you're a Michigan fan. My nephew plays at Appalchian State. Haha. He was a freshman last year and got to play in the "Big House" on extra points and field goals. He has some cool shirts from that game but I don't think you'd really like them. Beer is cold, weather is warm.

We feel your pain here in Colorado...It's getting colder, but that only means that we're exchanging the wetsuits for drysuits.  We will foil until the lakes here have ice and they close the ramps.  With that being said, since the days are so D#@$ short, I too will be on XBOX killing time until longer, warmer days are upon us :o)  We still have 3 of the 4 most valuable B's going though...Boat's-Beer-Bronco's !!!  I guess it's gonna be a few months before the Bikini's make that list again :o)  Have a great night everyone...Damn you Southeners'!!!

I know it all too well.  After our great trip to the Ozarks, it made it even harder to put her up for the winter.  But I guess it's time.
