    Swimplatform - worth it ?

I emailed Swimplatforms few weeks ago, inquring about a swimplatform for my 1997 250cr. I just recieved the email back from Scott. Platform 1395.00,wood crate 92.00,shipping to buisness address 331.00,to ship to a local residence an extra 63.00. Total 1881.00. He sent pictures of a platform installed on a 250cr,don't get me wrong it looks great, built in ladder, etc. Has anyone purschased a platform from this company. Any info would be helpful.

Whether from them or factory, the extended platform is a must!  A few folks on here have them and love them!

I will second that--couldn't imagine my 230BR without it, although mine was a factory option.  And everyone that has bought a swimplatforms.com platform seems to be very happy with the quality.  Randy Brooks has one on his 202 and Greg Ruhl has one on his 225--Greg's even has a two tone gelcoat.

Bought one from Scott @ Swimplatforms.com. I have yet to take pics with it on . . .but it totally rocks! Don't have to worry about kids jumping on props and helps keep the rope clear and a great place to mount your gas grill when parked. Not to mention a great hangout spot.

Hey Joe, I did get one from Scott at swimplatforms and I will say we love it. The fit and look is perfect. It's a very heavy duty platform and worth the money. I have a 266 BR, check out my avatar. If you can swing it, go for it, I don't think there is a better one made.

Re: Swimplatform - worth it ?

There are many who have added them and SP's makes a great product. Everone says it's the best mod they've done to their boat.  I agree.  I got one of the frst for 202's about 4 years ago. I have installed 4 of them myself.  Not too hard,  takes about 4-5 hours with 2 people, 3's better.  Me, my wife and 15 yr old son did ours.

Tell Scott, Randy Brooks sent you.........

Re: Swimplatform - worth it ?

Since we added a gas grill to the boat. Setup/breakdwon in about 30 seconds . . .  I can't do carpet the grease from the burgers, brats and fajitas would make for some nasty stains. But washes off pretty easily.

    Joe,

Installed one from them on our 94 250CR.  It was like adding another room to your house.

Install was easy and it is built like a tank.  Best money we spent on the boat.

Re: Swimplatform - worth it ?

Can these be taken off and put back on pretty easy?  The reason I ask is b/c my garage is 20 feet and the boat is  about 19 feet 6 inches, so space is just a little bit of an issue!  Big Smile

It's worth every penny!  You won't realize the benefits until after you have installed/used it, then you will say, "How did we get along with out this before?"  If you would like to see pics of our 250cr with their platform, give your e-mail and I will send pics.

Joe, so many Crownies have bought platforms from Swimplatforms.com (Including Me), that I sometimes think we are their biggest customers! I put one on my 180 and like everyone says, it's the best addition I have made.
