Jim  I have fished there years a go. It is a good size lake i beleive about 700 acres. But i heard it gets a little crazy on week ends. Thats all i really know i am sure someone with more knowledge about the lake will chime in.

are you in northern or southern indiana. if you are anywhere near angola you have to go to the James chain of lakes. the sandbar there is beyond words.

Jim The james chain is in Angole In. If you take the In toll straight east to exit 141 I believe .Its the last exit before Ohio if i remember correctly.

    Re: cedar lake indiana

that is it. I highly reccomend the trip. it is a chain of 5 lakes jimmerson, james, snow, and big and little otter. the first three are all sports lakes that are fairly deep 30-40 ft average. just follow traffic and you'll be fine.

    Re: cedar lake indiana

how do you figure shallow? other than the sandbar and the channel connecting the lakes, it is about 30-40 ft, snow lake has 80ft holes. if you follow traffic you will be fine. all of the shallow spots are very clearly marked.

    Re: cedar lake indiana

cedar lake is a great lake(i live here) we also have a crownline dealer and a great dock side resturaunt, the shallow areas are around the perimeter of the lake and as long as you keep an eve on your depth guage you will be fine, also the water is warmer than most other lakes around

My wife and just bought our first boat and we have it at Cedar Lake.  It's a nice lake.  We will be out there every weekend until it starts snowing.
