    Snow

I went down to our house on the North East River Saturday evening.  I couldn't believe the amount of snow we got down there.  Almost nothing back home in Downingtown PA.  It made for a pretty sight on Sunday morning.

Steve, I know everyone is looking forward to spring and their boats, but there's nothing prettier than a snowy landscape.  Enjoy!

Steve and Ralph -    Bah Humbug to snowy landscapes Super Angry Wink

Next time it snows I'm inviting everyone down to our house to see the pretty snow landscape, snow on the decks, snow on the waterfront, snow on the dock, etc etc.  And I'm not even charging admission for all that beauty.  All I ask is that you bring a shovel with you.  Of course if you're in Md, and want to drive to my house in the snow, better pack a lunch and leave 2 days ahead of time.  (and stop at Safeway and pick up some milk and toilet paper).  My nomination for something prettier than a snowy landscape:   90 degrees, blue sky, light breeze, flat water and bunch of Crownies all around you (yeah, even Henry), and an adult beverage of your choosing.

And for all of you American Idol fans,  I'm planning to join General Larry "Pants on the Ground" Platt:

Snow on the ground! Snow on the ground!

Actin' like a fool when there's snow on the ground.

Can't go to work. Can't go to school.

Actin' like a fool when there's snow on the ground!

Forgot how to drive with snow on the ground.

Buy all the milk. Buy all the bread.

What's in your head with snow on the ground?

By the way, 46 days, 21 hrs and 37 minutes until the first day of spring (but who's counting).

    Re: Snow

Imagine this...snowing here in Wisconsin now.  I'm probably the only person who gets excited when freezing rain is forecasted because it means it is close to or above 32 degrees!  I do enjoy snow for a few reasons...plowing with the ATV is a great time, and I enjoy getting out on the snowboard also.  Other than that, get rid of the white stuff!!!

ROTFLMAO at Cappy!  I'm with ya all the way.

Its time for us to head south, brother!

Rather be putting gas in the boat, than the snowblower.

    Re: Snow

But aren't you glad the boat is stored indoors this winter?  I couldn't have picked a better time to change marinas to Sunset harbor....Get ready, cause from what I am seeing and I am a weather nerd, we could see over 30" in the balto area, especially us to the west.

    Re: Snow

Batten down the hatches!  Well it's 4:15pm and it just now started to flurry. Here in Pa. we are on the line where we could get anywhere from a little to knee deep. I guess that depends on who's knee it is, right. good luck everybody, and have some fun.Wink

just got back in from 2nd round of shovelling.  Damn snow blower decided to go on strike so it's shovel time.  We're gettin' our a$$es kicked.   The dogs are having fun, though.
