Most of the carb manufacturers have troubleshooting hints on their sites.  If it were I having problems I would first check the fuel water separtator followed by the filter on the carb itself.  See if you can check your fuel and pressure (they make small inline guages for this that go into the fuel line and stay which are nice to ...

It is the intake for your speedometer if memory serves.

Its probably the front or rear main.   I had the same problem on one of my ski boats.  It had a Indmar 454 in it!!

For SS it is about 100 dollars a blade.
