Randy, I guess you were correct when you said you are about the only one that looks at this. No one else chimed in all season. We had to bring the boat home from Detroit on Labor Day weekend. Sad that the season goes by so quickly each year. The 8 months between seasons seems like a lifetime and the 4 nice months of the year go by so quickly it is ...

A fireworks display will be shown over Detroit Lake on July 5 at dusk. Don't miss out on this fun experience of watching fireworks from your boat on the water.

This global warming is getting to me. It was 49 degrees today, June6; when I was leaving my home to go to work. I hope Shasta proves to be more summer like than what we are experiencing here. I would expect this in November, not June. John

We always go to Pacific City when we go to the beach. I will be in Detroit most every weekend until Labor Day. Not sure if I will hang around the rally though. We are usually busy intertaining the kids and their friends. The water is usually warm by then and we try and make the most of it. We might do the poker run this year. My son was asking ...

Randy, It's memorial weekend and raining like always. We are going up but I bet you are going to skip this weekend in your boat. I am trying to think of some other activities to do around Detroit becuase it doesn't look like boating will be that much fun with the rain and thunderstorms predicted. We were there last weekend and what a drastic ...

Randy, we went to Detroit on Saturday. We checked out all the falls. There is a lot of water coming into the lake. The water was brown around Breitenbush and the N. Santiam. The water is really cold. My 17 yearold son went swimming without a wet suite to prove he could handle it so I pulled him around on the tube for awhile. It was fishing derby ...

Randy, If you haven't ever checkout out the waterfalls on Heater Creek and Kinney Creek, you should. The water was coming into the lake at a rate of 5500 cubic feet per second last time the temperature reached 70 degrees. With 90 degrees forcast, they are lowering the lake to accomodate the extra runoff. It is still plenty high but it will be ...
